Mothers Day Card Craft For Kids

Have fun making this gorgeous mothers day craft. It’s fun and easy to create, making it the perfect mothers day craft for kids.

Craft items required

• 2 x A4 sheets of card
• Ready mixed paint in assorted colours
• Sponge dabber or stamper (or use fingerprints instead)
• Scissors

Instructions

• Fold one sheet of A4 card into two, making the mothers day card
• Take the second sheet of A4 card to cut out your card ‘stencil’. We’ve made a heart shape but you could create a flower stencil or any shape you choose.
• The easiest way to create the stencil is to fold the card in half, then holding the folded edge use your scissors to cut half of your shape. When unfolded, you have the perfect symmetrical shaped stencil.
• Next, fix your heart stencil to the front of your mothers day card. You could just hold it in place or use a tiny bit of glue stick or blu tack to keep it secure. The idea is to not leave a mark once it’s removed.
• Using the paints and paint dabber/stamper, or fingerprints, decorate your card all around the heart shape. Fingerprints add sentimental and fun value!

Make sure you cover all over the edges of your stencil so you get a sharp line when you remove it.

When you’re finished decorating, carefully remove your card stencil to reveal your stunning design.
Once dry, you’re now ready to write your message inside.
